The bulk of the tidal correspondence is to be found in this repository, in the collections of particular individuals or institutions. Those of Sir George Howard Darwin in Add.5749 comprise 13 letters, in Add.5750 comprise 122 letters, & in DAR 251 exceeds 200 tidal letters; and those of Lord Kelvin in Add.7342 include 92 tidal letters; and those held in the Royal Greenwich Observatory, being chiefly the papers of George Biddulph Airy, include 204 tidal letters.
